    • I definitely need this stud finder

      Soo_LetsGoSoo_LetsGo2 months ago
    • I have a older yellow base model Zircon, but I can't get the results you're getting even on regular walls and I know where studs should be. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but knowing that it's supposed to be a top brand, I'll keep trying!

  • What exactly do you mean by "low level warning?"

    Nicole CraneNicole Crane2 months ago
    • Hi Nicole. The LoLevel indicator is an exclusive feature of Zircon's new SuperScan line. It lets you know that the object detected behind the surface is likely not a wood stud because the signal returning is too weak. You will want to use caution before drilling into these areas and confirm your scan results by using the other scan modes on your tool. Hope this helps.

  • Does the Zircon work on really rough surfaces? my walls do not look like your walls at all, Im not sure what kind of these surfaces are called. It looks like mud was put all over the surfaces and painted. Christmas Tree is so cute and the small one are so cute too.

    Shell SmithShell Smith2 months ago
    • @ZirconTV Yes I am. Thanks for getting back to me. This info helps a lot.

      Shell SmithShell SmithMonth ago
    • Hi Shell. Are you referring to heavily textured interior walls? If so, you'll want a K2 model or above because you will need the DeepScan mode which can scan through surfaces up to 1 1/2 inches deep. To ensure that it scans over the surface more smoothly (without rocking or tilting which could affect the indications), you can place a thin sheet of cardstock or cardboard. This will offset some of the scan depth, which is why it's important that the scan is conducted in DeepScan mode. If you have any other questions, please do give us a call at 1-800-245-9265 Mon - Fri, 8AM - 5PM PST or email us at techsupport@zircon.com. We are here to help. Thanks!

    • Hi Daffodil98647! That's a great question. With all the SuperScan models, you have the option to find both wood and metal studs as well as just woods. Each model comes with a minimum of TC mode, which finds wood studs - and not metal. In StudScan mode, you can locate both the wood and metal studs. If you have any other questions, just let us know. We're here to help. :)
