You know the name of the game lately - PHASES while we build through this breakup. Holly and I are quickly making our way through her home which sort of makes me sad because it’s only been three months haha. I wanted to go into depth with how Holly and I are going about each of these makeovers because honestly, I couldn’t find ONE digestible tutorial to sit through that got to the point and removed the fluff. PLEASE don’t hate me breaking it up in two parts! I rarely do this. We will be diving into finishing up the fireplace build and a budget friendly refresh of the living room in part two!

    • If there's one thing I could recommend, it would be for you two to have live plants around the house, especially where guests are more frequent. I never took my mom's advice too serious, but plants really do take in the bad energy. From people or pets. You'll notice it as the exposed side will be dried up. It's always better for bad energy to fall onto a plant than on a human being. Yall are lovely ladies and I think that would be a good addition since ya'll are very active on your daily life

  • I found this one so boring and anticlimactic. I have no interest in the reno meetings thing. And you saying that you’re gonna make videos more in depth and in parts because you’re almost done with the house is basically just code for “I’m running out of content and need to milk every last opportunity” at the expense of viewers like me 🤷🏻‍♀️ seems like other viewers like this approach so I’m sure they’ll keep watching.

  • Bottom line upfront: I AM NOT A FAN OF THE RUSTOLEUMFLOOR PAINT. I painted my kitchen tile floor 2+ months ago in white. The can said 2 coats, but to cover it well I ultimately needed 4 coats. Afterwards, I applied 2 layers of topcoat because my faith in the product was dwindling. A day project turned into 3+ days. My budget was tight to begin with, but I had to purchase 2 additional cans of paint at $50 a pop just to cover the floor adequately. Even after being meticulous with controlling pet hair from settling into the paint, it still happend because full cure time is 7 days. Imo durability is sub-par as well. I dropped a small cup and saucer a month after the floor was completed. Unfortunately, the paint peeled and crinkled in 4 areas because of it. I could go on, but I regret the project, and for $50 a gallon I expected far better results than what I received. I have photos, but yeah, obviously can't share it here. Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for all the tips and tricks! Also would you redo room by room or little by little what you can in each room? • I am always glad to see anything that you post! I do enjoy the budget meetings, it does make things much more realistic. I thought you chose the option that said no demo?? Obviously I was wrong. Can't wait to see the next part.
